As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being. - C G Jung
I offer a safe and supportive space to work through a variety of challenging situations. My particular outlook is Jungian, or based on the work of Carl Gustav Jung. In practice, this means that there is an emphasis on the individual and on wholeness. Where possible, I work with dreams. However, the most important aspect of the work is the creation of a non-judgemental and compassionate listening environment where life issues can be explored.
Reasons for seeking therapy are as unique as the individuals themselves, and so this list could never be exhaustive, but the issues I work with include:
The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases. - C G Jung
I am a fully qualified Jungian Analyst. My training organisation is the Guild of Analytical Psychologists (GAP). I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP).
My approach to psychotherapy is one of deep and empathetic listening. Piecing together a cohesive narrative in an environment that is compassionate and without judgement helps to navigate life's difficult situations and to find a way forward that promotes healing and growth.
I am in private practice in London, SW2 and W2. Online and telephone appointments are also available. I would usually like to meet you for an initial session in order to explore the possibility of working together. I tend to work on a once or twice weekly basis and I use full hour sessions, but this is flexible, as needs do vary.
My fees are £60/hr, but concession rates are available, depending on your circumstances. I charge on a sliding scale, as I would not want financial constraints to become a barrier to accessing psychological services. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the rate agreed.
All sessions are strictly confidential. To ensure ethical standards and quality of care, all analysts must have supervision. Supervision will never breach your privacy in any way, because no personal details would ever be disclosed. The special circumstances where this confidentiality must be waived (usually where there are concerns about the welfare of children and vulnerable adults) are outlined in the UKCP code of ethics, by which I am bound.
Please get in touch for further enquiries or to book an initial appointment.
